Recurrent child death
Recurrent child death is one of the deepest signs of spiritual imbalance and ancestral burden. When children are born but do not live to grow, it is believed that forces beyond the physical are at work—spirits of the lineage unsettled, ancestral debts unpaid, or taboos broken that block the line of life. In some traditions, such deaths are seen as the return of the same spirit-child, unwilling or unable to remain in the world, sometimes called a wandering or mischievous soul. In others, it is tied to the anger of neglected deities or ancestors who demand recognition before blessing the womb with lasting life.
